Maik Bäume

Today, Mr. Maik Bäumer joins the ptc advisory committee as new member. He is "Head of Division Central Germany" and "Head of Strategic Business Segment Infrastructure" at TÜV NORD.

Sanjeev Sinha

Mr. Sanjeev Sinha is Head of the Focus Market Segment Pipelines at Siemens and has been involved in the Pipeline Technology Conference since the first conference was held in 2006. He is well connected in the international pipeline community and will promote the further development of ptc as new member of the advisory committee.

PRCI - Pipeline Research Council International

The Pipeline Research Council International (PRCI) is a community of the world’s leading pipeline companies, and the vendors, service providers, equipment manufacturers, and other organizations supporting the industry. PRCI president Cliff Johnson is new member of the ptc advisory committee and his organization is now official supporter of the Pipeline Technology Conference. Dirk Jedziny

Mr Dirk Jedziny is new member of the ptc advisory committee. He is Head of Cluster Ruhr North at Infracor and in charge of 3 long distance pipeline systems with a total length of 2,000 km. Dirk Jedziny is chairman of the working group pipelines at VCI (Association of the Chemical Industry) and vice chairman of the German Pipeline Committee (AfR) of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU).

Nord Stream Pipeline Inaugurated

The Nord Stream Pipeline became operational today and was hailed by political and business leaders as making a significant contribution to Europe’s long-term energy security. German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, the Prime Ministers of France François Fillon and the Netherlands Mark Rutte, and EU Energy Commissioner Günther Oettinger today formally inaugurated the first of Nord Stream’s twin 1,224 kilometre gas pipelines through the Baltic Sea.

Nord Stream Landfall in Lubmin

On Tuesday November 8, Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel – together with President Dmitry Medvedev and the Prime Ministers of France François Fillon and the Netherlands Mark Rutte and EU Energy Commissioner Günther Oettinger – will formally inaugurate the first of Nord Stream's twin 1,224 kilometre gas pipelines through the Baltic Sea. When fully operational in late 2012, Nord Stream's two lines will have the capacity to transport 55 billion cubic metres of Russian gas a year to the EU for at least 50 years.
