Abstract

By mixing hydrogen as a fuel for powering gas turbines regardless if such turbines are used in power plants or even as a compressor drive in natural gas compressor station, there is a potential to provide more stability in future energy systems that involve increasing shares from renewable sources, and to fulfill the requirements of a wide spectrum of applications in terms of efficiency, reliability, flexibility, and environmental compatibility.

By burning (co – firing) hydrogen as a fuel, either through co – firing or complete displacement of natural gas, gas turbines can be a perfect fit for various applications related to emerging operations on hydrogen blends.

Siemens Energy Hydrogen Mixing Skids are designed to inject Hydrogen into Natural Gas  flow stream and to enable gas turbines running on natural gas, to run on fuel blends of natural gas and Hydrogen.. or even on pure Hydrogen.

Mixing skids are all modular, skid – based systems, designed as rugged industrial solutions, with common design applicable for different types of industrial gas turbines. Based on the gas turbine power, hydrogen flow, hydrogen content, and turbine load profile, different mixing skids and controls are available and applicable for any co – firing purposes.

Let us bring you the latest great success stories we have. We would like to put some lights on reference projects using hydrogen as a fuel for gas turbines in the following applications:

1) Natural gas Compressor Station

2) Power Plant

Let's energize Society with Siemens Energy Mixing Skids solution.
