Abstract
The resistance to large-scale pipeline construction projects by residents, citizens’ initiatives and farmers is growing continuously. As a result, the requirements for managing the procedures as well as the organizational requirements in companies are constantly increasing. On the basis of anonymized practical examples, experiences and obstacles are presented from various pipeline construction projects (preferably pipeline projects). An organizational enhancement of the internal structures is also described. For example: The existing new guidelines for approval processes, which exist in part in Germany’s federal states, will be discussed. In addition to the legally required public relations measures, further steps are frequently necessary. So far, such measures have also been implemented by pipeline builders, partially without existing guidelines.
