Humans and the environment must be protected adequately; otherwise, technical plants may not be operated. Technical plants however come with a certain degree of risk. A reasonable balance between the economic use and risks must prevail. The CSE-institute seeks to undertake research and be innovative with a view to shape the future of safety engineering in collaboration with competent partners. Safety must not only be taught in all areas – but must become second nature.
