Abstract
Pipeline Drag Reduction Technology has been developed since 1970’s. It has helped oil and pipeline industry in maximizing the flow potential of pipelines, increasing operational flexibility, throughput capacity and substantially, hence increasing bottom-line profit potentials. Drag Reducing Agents (DRA) also known as Flow Improvers, reduce frictional and energy loss of pipelines by easing the pipeline turbulence, enabling companies to strategically reduce or avoid capital expenses, improve pipeline operating costs and/or expand their pipeline system capacity.

ConocoPhillips Specialty Products Inc. (CSPI) presentation will focus on introducing the DRA Technology to the Pipeline Technology Conference participants and on the benefits of using such a technology for the pipeline and oil industry.
