One year of operational experiences of Germany’s first portal for handling construction enquires will presented.
The portal is working since February 2016 and receives high acceptance by the construction industry. BIL`s vision is to incorporate all underground energy and communication infrastructure to implement a "single-point-of-entry" approach in a fully digitized work-flow. This approach will exchange construction information between enquiring partner and operators in short-term. The success model has to include workflow requirements from the construction industry and from the operators side, but needs to fulfill local legal standards as well. A big benefit is the collection of all kinds of construction enquiries to gain several advantages on the operators workflow as well as improvements in the safety sector. Big data analysis, new technology trends and enhanced safety demands will cause the BIL future development.
